Design för lärande och multimodala texter i svenskämnet : En produktorienterad studie av två läromedel i svenska

This paper presents a study of educational materials used in Swedish language education. The aim of the study is to understand in which way multimodal resources can be used in texts, to benefit in the process of meaning making among pupils in the nine-year compulsory school. The theoretical framework used as a basis for understanding and analysing these educational materials is the social semiotic multimodal perspective and the design theoretical multimodal perspective. The study is a multimodal text analysis but it also involves analyses of the syllabi connected to the subject of Swedish language education. The extended concept of text was introduced in the year of 2000 in the syllabus and today Multimodal texts are supposed to be part of the Swedish language education.

It also examines how these medias are usedin School according to the pupils. The theoretical basis for this research is based onhermeneutic phenomenology and the concept of life-worlds.

Interaktiv skrivtavla i undervisning : En multimodal fallstudie av en lärares användning av interaktiv skrivtavla i läs- och skrivundervisning

The aim of the study is to investigate how a teacher uses multimodal resources with an interactive whiteboard while teaching reading and writing. The aim is also to investigate what view the teacher has on using an interactive whiteboard while teaching reading and writing. Video-recorded observations and audio-recorded interviews are the methods used to collect data. The analysis was performed from a multimodal perspective and is also inspired by interaction analysis. The result of the analysis showed that the teacher uses several multimodal sign systems in combination with those found on the interactive whiteboard.

Djupare insikter i svenska : En multimodal läromedelsanalys

Studien som utförts analyserar ur ett sociosemiotiskt och multimodalt perspektiv vilka resurser läromedlet "Insikter i svenska" använder sig av. Läromedlet är riktat mot ungdomar i första året på gymnasiet som läser en yrkesinriktad utbildning. Studien redogör för ett antal utgångspunkter för multimodal bildanalys och påvisar även att lärmedlet innehåll ett antal av dessa resurser. .

Mellan A-traktor och skönlitteratur : Didaktiska metoder i undervisningen

The purpose of my project is to determine how a multimodal/intermedial text can be used when teaching in upper secondary school. Can using a text that to some point is current in the pupils? lives lift the interest for the specific subject? I opted to pick up Gunther Kress? research, Diana Laurillard?s book and Christina Olin-Scheller?s work on the subject. I have used several hours of lesson planning and the lesson itself with subsequent work consisting, among other things, of three qualitative interviews to achieve my purpose. Based on a qualitative approach, I discuss the results, which show that it is in fact very uplifting.

Fyrkantsfaktorn - En textanalys om seriepedagogik

Jag har utfört en kvalitativ innehållsanalys av seriealbumet Bernadotte ? Vår franske kung (skapad 2009 av Kulturpoolen i Falun) utifrån ett socialsemiotiskt multimodalt perspektiv i vilken jag utforskar frågeställningen, vilka pedagogiska bildberättarverktyg står att finna och hur kan dessa användas? Analysmodellen är hämtad från Anders Björkvalls bok om multimodal analys Den visuella texten ? Multimodal analys i praktiken (2009) och innebär inventering och sortering av textelement och narrativa verktyg. Jag har lagt betoning på redovisning av Björkvalls modell och en rad kommunikativa serieverktyg. I själva analysen har jag funnit exempel på olika bildberättarverktyg under rubrikerna Interaktion, Representationer av världen, Komposition och Modalitet. Dessa har på olika vis använts för att förmedla kunskap, och jag redovisar exempel på detta i analysen som även innehåller bildexempel från den aktuella serien. ITS - Interaktivt textsystem

This report describes the creation of an interactive text system for storing, retrieval and publishing of texts, ITS.My task was to create a GUI together with a database capable of handling text, commenting of texts, references between texts, and the capability to associate images with texts.After enough texts have been inserted into the database, there shall be an ability to generate a report out of them.The report describes the methods used when the GUI was implemented, how the database was modelled and implemented, and how the security aspects where solved.The entire project is created with the help of Java, MySQL server, Connector/J and OpenSSL.Furthermore the functions of the GUI and the future of ITS is described..

Patienters upplevelse av multimodal smärtrehabiliteringsprogram : En intervjustudie

Background: Chronic pain is a condition that approximately 18% of the Swedish population suffers from. This condition affects many aspects of a person´s life and causes psychological, physiological and social suffering. Multimodal treatment is considered the most effective treatment for patients with chronic pain. Patient participation and motivation are very important to treatment. Aim: The aim of this study was to explore patients´ experience of a multimodal chronic pain treatment program regarding their experience of patient participation and interaction with the rehabilitation team.

Morgan på lagret : En Multimodal Kristisk Diskursanalys av karaktären Morgan i programserien Ullared ur ett klassperspektiv

Studien använder sig av en Multimodal Kritisk Diskursanalys (MCDA) för att analysera vanliga människor i reality-TV ur ett klassperspektiv. Syftet är att undersöka huruvida programmet Ullared reproducerar idéer om klass och hur detta gör sig synligt genom konstruktionen av karaktären Morgan. Studien använder sig av ett teoretiskt ramverk bestående av vanlighet, klass, diskurs och skratt. I analysen undersöks utvalda sekvenser där semiotiska resurser granskas för att se hur de arbetar för att konstruera Morgan. Resultatet visar på att musik och videoredigering är två viktiga resurser i konstruktionen av Morgan, dock har allt som ses och hörs i bild en komplex samverkan med varandra som bidrar till slutkonstruktionen.

"Resan till London" : Språk, struktur och kvalitet i fyra narrativa elevtexter i årskurs 6

The aim of the study was to investigate how four pupils in sixth grade use language when writing narrative texts, examined in relation to the typical structure and linguistic features of a narrative text. Another aim was to explore the similarities and differences between texts which received an A or B grade and texts with a D or E grade. The pupils? texts are analysed from a systemic-functional perspective on language and on the basis of the typical structure and language of a narrative text, with the focus on expressions of time, processes, descriptions and nominal groups (cf. Johansson & Sandell Ring 2012).

Vad är viktigt? : Läroboken i biologi som förmedlare av kunskapsideal kring innehåll och mening

The aim for this paper has been to examine three textbooks designed for science education in upper secondary school in order to determine whether they convey any specific attitudes regarding what is considered to be ideal knowledge within the field of biology. The main focus has been to investigate if different types of design strategies have been used to emphasize certain values or attitudes and if this proves to be the case, how is this achieved specifically?                      For this purpose I have conducted several different qualitative linguistic analyses of the textbooks. The theoretical framework for the analyses lies within the main field of critical linguistics and more specifically in the context of systemic functional linguistics. The two main language models I have chosen to use for my investigations are functional grammar and multimodal text analysis.                      My results imply amongst other things that by conducting an overall assessment of the headlines in the textbooks a fair assessment can be made of which overall attitudes the books convey.

Sverigedemokraterna - en textanalys - en granskande analys av ett partis politiska texter

The purpose of this dissertation is to examine and present six different texts produced by the Sweden democrats. This examination focuses its attention on the content and the technique of the arguments present in the texts. In addition, the results will be put in relation to the steering documents for the Swedish school system. The aim is to observe common features regarding content and technique present in the texts. More specifi-cally, I will examine how the texts produced by the Sweden democrats pose a problem to the Swedish school system.
